Elaine Hsieh directs a powerful three-day series of events in Honolulu: June 12-14 — Hilton Hawaiian Village, Honolulu

It’s the 10-year anniversary of the inception of the Hawaii Clean Energy Initiative, which was instrumental in the state’s ambitious mandate of 100% renewable energy in the electricity sector by 2045. More recently, the State’s islands committed to reach 100% renewable fuel sources for public and private ground transportation by 2045 – another ambitious first-of-its-kind target.

What lessons have the State’s decision-makers, influencers and communities learned since committing to these pivotal goals?

Which technologies, policies and partnerships will enable it to achieve this?

How can others from around the world learn from and help accelerate Hawaii’s groundbreaking clean energy transition?

Major subject areas include distributed energy, grid-scale power, market transformation, transportation, resilience and security, sustainable tourism.

VERGE Hawaii will share lessons learned during the State’s clean energy journey and explore the technical, political and cultural solutions necessary to build a clean, resilient economy. Join more than 800 key stakeholders — from government, military, corporations, utilities, NGOs and solution providers — to develop new partnerships and learn about the innovative technologies and fresh, practical solutions that will increase economic and community resilience, in Hawaii and beyond.
